ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: ALAINA MORALES

Alaina Morales is no stranger to Volleyball. She has been part of the Empower family for many seasons and she is the newest member of our 16U Fierce team. Alaina always has a great attitude and she is very focused and coachable. That has helped her develop as a player. She has great passing skills, court awareness and Volleyball IQ.

Why did you choose volleyball?My older sister tried out for volleyball and it inspired me to also try out for it and now I love it.
What keeps you motivated on the court?When everyone has a good attitude, we are loud on the court, and when the coach cheers us on.
What are the top 3 things you want from your coach?I want them to critique me so I can learn how to be a better player, cheer us on when we are playing, and I want them to create a bond with the team.
What is your favorite volleyball moment? Why?Whenever we win a game because it feels so good at the end and it makes my whole entire day better.
What is your favorite thing to do when you are not playing volleyball or doing school work?I love listening and singing to music.
What is your volleyball experience?I started playing Rec here because I didn’t make the 7th grade volleyball team and it showed me that I should not give up on what I am passionate about.
